Comedian 'Utchan,' TV announcer Asami Miura voted most ideal bosses

Japanese comedian Teruyoshi Uchimura, 52, from the duo Utchan Nanchan and Nippon Television (NTV) announcer Asami Miura, 29, have been voted the most ideal bosses to work for, according to a survey by Japanese insurance company Meiji Yasuda Life.

The survey asked new recruits to imagine which celebrity would be an ideal boss. The survey was conducted among male and female university graduates who are planning to enter the workforce this spring, and received responses from approximately 1,100 students.

Regarding the reasons people chose these two celebrities, the majority cited their “approachable” and “friendly” demeanor.

Meiji Yasuda Life analyzed the findings and said in a statement: “Today’s generation of young people highly value work-life balance, and both Utchan and Miura-chan seem to embody this principle.”

Ah, Uchimura... I remember when the leader of the Hong Kong rock band, Wong Kai Ki, died after they both fell from a stage filming one of Uchimura's variety shows.

Only Uchimura was wearing a helmet. Hong Kong music fans were very devastated. No much about that incident was reported in Japan though.

I'm afraid I would be fired for sexual harassment if she was my boss

Essential is a proven ability to communicate effectively, a clear understanding that respect and trust facilitates the knowledge to utilize diverse skills which inspires the commitment of a team to meet set strategic goals and targets.

Certainly the ability to be “approachable” and “friendly” will achieve a level of popularity in the company of 1100 university graduates. Also being “approachable” and “friendly”, as a minimum requirement, will secure a first line receptionist post.

Perhaps that is the reason Asami Miura chooses to be TV announcer and Comedian and not a boss whatever that actually means.

You have to love how much fantasy plays a part in the reality of the people voting here. It's not "Best potential boss" or, "I think they would be approachable and friendly," it's, "Best Boss because they ARE that way" without ever having met them or knowing a thing about how the act in their daily lives.

How are these 2 actually decided? Does the survey have a list of 10 because choosing these 2 is pretty random since there are more than 1,000 celebrities.

Reporter? Come on, be fair here, she reads whatever is put in front of her and talks about what she is told to talk about. She is another pretty face in an never ending line of them on Japanese TV news.

Curious....how do you know she is nice? There are plenty of announcers, talento, artists, celebs, whatever here that portray are are given an image to portray on TV here, and that has zero to do with their real life.

They only voted for comedians? Personally, I'd vote for my favorite anime character Pikachu!

Imagine the productive stimulatory power of 10000 volts on lackadaisical staff!

Pika!
