Pepepopo, rather impossible at 120 meters depth. I didn't even know it is possible to dive that deep.

Pepepopo, rather impossible at 120 meters depth. I didn't even know it is possible to dive that deep.

Not impossible to carry out diver operations at that depth, just extremely time consuming, days of pre-compression, breathing Hydrox or Neox, limited work time, and days of decompression aftwards. It's no fun dive by any definition. Hats off to these brave men.

However agree that the idea of anyone being alive breathing trapped air in a hull sitting upright at 120m for 25 days is, well not at all realistic.

@timeon and @OssanAmerica, did you really think @5:05 was being realistic?

What exactly makes you think he wasn't?

Sounds like a perilous job for the divers - wishing them all the best.

Very unlikely for anyone to have survived at 120 meters in an air pocket at zero temperature .

Hope they can find and rescue some survivors. Stranger things have happened, like the African cook who was trapped in an airpocket for days.

.

you are referring to May 2013 ..... from ... https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/dec/03/video-rescue-ships-cook-three-days-under-water

.

"after surviving for three days at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean in an air pocket on a sunken tugboat.Harrison Odjegba Okene, a Nigerian cook, survived by breathing an ever-dwindling supply of oxygen in an air pocket. As the temperature dropped to freezing, Okene, dressed only in boxer shorts

Okene believes his rescue in May after 72 hours under water at a depth of 30 metres (about 100ft) is a sign of divine deliverance. The other 11 crew on board the Jascon 4 died when it sunk."

.

Had it been 120 meters, the air pocket could have been too small due to it being compressed by water pressure.

.

Why not focus on rigorous inspection of boat tour operators instead?

Oh,sorry,forgot where I was.

Not to be a SmartA, but I guess we don't leave our dead in the Vessel now-days.

Recall the Mining of the South Korean Ferry by the North....or did we all forget that already?
