The problem with all of these new treatments is they require a confirmed covid infection by positive test. Huge rate limiting factor with how Japan handles testing.

And the are most effective when taken as soon as possible. So even if you do get a test, in Japan by the time you get a test and the result, you're already 4-5 days into the infection.

People are still dying of COVID, and that is likely to continue. But I guess any improvements should be welcomed.

There are two free testing centers in my area. I have had no trouble now getting tested regularly

so how does Japan handle testing?

Unfortunately it will be next to useless in Japan. It is next to impossible to schedule a test within a week of symptom onset, let alone getting the results within 5 days

In addition to this and many other highly effective therapeutics, there's a nasal spray from a Canadian company, SaNOtize Nitric Oxide Nasal Spray, that's 99% effective if Japan is interested.

Sounds promising and more effective than the vaccines. What are the active ingredients?

If this is another way to get people vaxxed, I say GO FOR IT. You can maybe grind these pills and spike the drinks of these Covidiots with it. Just a suggestion.
