A 3-year-old boy was hit and killed by a car being driven by his father in Saga on Wednesday.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 1:20 p.m. Police said the boy, Shido Motomura, was run over by his 43-year-old father, Fuji TV reported. Shido was taken to the hospital where he was confirmed dead about 40 minutes later.
The boy was the youngest of five siblings. Police said the accident happened when the father was leaving the driveway to take three of the children shopping, and Shido ran in front of the car.
Motomura said Shido was supposed to be inside with his mother; however, he ran out of the house by himself. Motomura told the police that he did not see him at all.

RIP to the little boy. And to add to all this misery it's likely going to become a massive blame game between the spouses.

This kind of accident can rip a family apart. I really hope they get through this together and their wounds heal in time.

Very unfortunate.Parents of small kids should take extra care while parking their cars.

If you've had five children, you know by now how they are and should take extra care. Perhaps he was distracted by the three in his car.
