Their efforts are worthy of praise and being highlighted in the news. Indians always struck me as a disadvantaged lot - they thrive in developed nations - often meteorically rising the ranks of private companies. A truly dynamic lot.
Yet their home country offers them so little. Despite being #6 in gross GDP among nations. It ranks #146 in per-capita GDP. A cruelly jarring statistic.
This too shall pass. But may the giant rise to its true potential from these ashes.

It can be extremely frustrating and sad not to be able to do anything fro the people you care because you are in a far away place, their efforts are worth praise and hopefully soon the situation will improve enough to facilitate more direct approaches to help.
