Be nice to see other businesses follow Starbucks lead here! I am not a fan of Starbucks, but I give them a hats off for supporting this effort, particularly in a country like Japan, that has a very long stigma against people with disabilities.

Great for the staff, great for the people, and great for Japan! Keep it up!

Starbucks, a company with such good reputation, allowing employees to serve coffee with those inefficient plastic mouth cover on?

I won’t get my coffee at a store like that, that’s for sure.

Finally something to feel uplifted about without reservations. Great from Starbucks, my respects and gratitude to them.

Applaus, standing ovation

Absolutely agree with Yubaru.....kudos to Starbucks for this initiative and let's hope there will more like it.

Anybody know the actual address?

Instead of one store with lots of workers with hearing disabilities, why not have one or two workers with hearing disabilities in every store. Instead of creating separate spaces for the disabled, isn't it better to allow them to take part in regular society?

But then again, Starbucks wouldn't get any free publicity taking that approach, would it? Tokenism brings headlines.

First off, complainers are just going to complain. Did you actually read the article and see the importance of taking this step in the right direction?

Opened in June, it is only Starbucks' fifth outlet worldwide to operate with sign language as its main mode of communication.

Like to see you do something better! At least it's a positive start! But then you would rather complain right?

Anybody know the actual address?

It's the branch within the Kunitachi station complex

Not a coffee drinker but I was there in the first opening week. I was actually touched by what they were doing. It gave everyone a chance to work. I never felt like that going into a coffee shop. The decor was also really nice and the atmosphere is wonderful. Really hats off to SB.

Too sweet for me, and too pricey.
