Good luck to them.
In other Ukraine-in-Japan news this week, the Ukrainian ambassador Sergiy Korsunsky visted Yasukuni Shrine on September 3rd, the day after the 79th anniversary of Japan's surrender in WW2. Needless to say, a lot of people across Asia are not happy with this.....

Haven’t seen any Ukrainian eateries around here yet, been to knew that does Russian food, wasn’t great. There is a couple that have a stall sometimes at Tennoji Park, the man is Russian the woman Ukrainian. The food is alright but a bit pricey, lol

Some of my favorite meals back in NYC were at Ukrainian restaurants in the East Village and Ukrainian and Russian joints in Brighton Beach Brooklyn, as well as occasional Russian style food at home. (My maternal grandparents were Russian.) Russian and Ukrainian cuisine is somewhat similar. You can find many similar dishes across Eastern Europe.
I will have to start searching for Ukrainian restaurants in Kansai on Tabelog.
