Based on my experience, when you open a casino you get flooded by gamblers. And in Asia we all know which country loves gambling the most. This is not a good idea.

What a joke! Both Tokyo and Osaka are already jam packed. Stick the casinos in Okinawa, Hokkaido and a city on the Sea of Japan coast. Everyone wins!

It would probably be located in the Odaiba area which is between the two main airports. Anyway, I'm not a gambler.

The casinos should be built on new islands adjacent to Kansai International Airport. That would generate revenue to keep the airport above water (literally and figuratively) and keep the gamblers in one location.

Either that, or limit the casinos to a small island off Nagasaki.

It would be nice if Japan keeps them out (and gets rid of existing pachinko parlors), but it's probably only a matter of time. Casinos and gambling joints bring in huge money not only for the initial building permits and the construction money it generates, but in taxes (and payoffs). They of course wreak havoc on society and are morally reprehensible, but governments who need quick cash don't tend to look at those facts.

So many peoples lives will be ruined because we all know that gambling can be addictive.

Sheldon Adelson of Las Vegas Sands have been trying to have Japan legalizase Casino unsuccessfully for years. So, don;t expect legalization comes quickly. Aren;t there gamble addicted people in Japan? The rich people and top politicians who use Yakuzas' niwaba to gamble oicho kabus, and mahjonggs?
