Good on the young man. Hope he continues to excel.
No doubt, though, that Ishihara will command him to sit at his side in order to 'prove' why Tokyo deserves the Olympics.

I used to ride on a track with some of those keirin guys. In a sprint, they will blow anyone away - never seen anything like them.

Doesn't matter as long as he does his best. Not everybody is shallow or stupid to expect gold medals all the time.

That statement only holds true from your parent's sentiment. When a nation is waiting on you as a beacon of "hope", what sort of hope will last place give to the broken fukushima? But no one said it had to be literally gold.
