Why is this news, it was detected 3 years ago, but news was blocked out of energy security guild lines, due to the us reliance of 40 year old NPPs.

The least we can say from this article is that the radiation is continuing to make its way to the shores of the western U.S. So if this is true ... where else is the radiation continuing to reach?

Some sites say the currents are taking the radioactive particles away from Japan and towards the USA. With plume maps. Also that due to currents (and gyres?) the radioactive particles are not dispersed throughout the ocean but travel in more concentrated form to the USA.
