Hope it is better planned than the highway congestion tests recently.

The question is, are they going to do it at peak times when the place is being swarmed with people, which is when an attack would happen, or will it be like running a test marathon a month after the peak of summer heat, and testing a cooling system on the coolest day of summer, also a month later.

Let's see, here's what I am quite sure the 'test' will consist of:

A roped off, taped off area where passengers won't be able to go

A lot of media standing around to take photos.

A 'terroristo' who dresses like something out of the movies or TV and practically runs around with a neon sign declaring what he is.

A predetermined pattern of actions, all carefully laid out in advance and pre-cleared so that 'victims' can be 'evacuated'

A predetermined timeline where everyone will know that the 'surprise terrorist attack' will happen at exactly such-and-such time, and everyone will conveniently be fully dressed, prepared, etc for the pre-determined proper response.

At least two politicians standing around in work clothing or a uniform of some kind in order to be part of the photo op.

Little to no actual training in reaction to an actual terrorist attack.

Well David, you could go and throw them a loop. They’d get a better training experience and you’d be on tv!

Why not do some actual domestic anti-terrorism work in the first place, rather than wait for something to happen ?

Note:... local.... domestic... terrorism.... not Terrorism due to influx of Foreigners.

@david varnes - you've just described it's close relative, the disaster training exercise!

similar in kind perhaps, to the 'man dressed as a zebra' training exercise they held in Ueno Park a couple of years ago....
