If you drive be prepared. Don’t take this lightly.

Sadly the number will rise with old folk doing unnecessary/unrealistic things in such conditions.

Inefficient green energy with shortages and blackouts during winter will likely endanger more people worldwide than climate change.

A little caveat this time in that urban parts of Niigata got hit, affecting people less used to it, in regular shaped houses, and with neighbours close by. It's one thing to be chilled about snow on your roof when you have no-one near, but another when you're living cheek by jowl in Kashiwazaki and that snow on your roof points directly at your neighbour's new car.

I bet some old timer (i.e., older than me timer) will have been injured or died because his wife was nagging him about the house collapsing or letting the neighbourhood down or some other old woman prattle. What a waste. I raise a glass to you sir.

Falling off roof tops while moving snow ! it happens every year and yet people still think they can get away with it

People should install roof heaters for snow or wire grid heaters to melt the snow, they are available.

Or move to somewhere sensible that doesn't get mountains of the horrible. cold white stuff.

Sorry, I just hate snow.

That would cost a lot and take a lot of energy at a time when all the governments are trying to cut energy usage and increase prices on energy.

Have a sturdy roof and let the snow be. Why die for such a meaningless action.

And don't walk below roof edgeq. Simple.

Life is cheap.
