It’s become chilly this week!

It sounds like it was a truck that caused the Kan'etsu blockage around Christmas too.

All my cars have emergency supplies. Gas tanks always 3/4 full.

re: As to avoiding the snow, ice and terrible Winter Weather, which areas are the best? An educated guess would be anywhere in Okinawa such as Okinawa City, Okinawa, Japan, Naha City Okinawa, Japan, or anywhere in Okinawa.?

No not Okinawa too congested these days. Way too many buildings and cars for 2 major streets getting worse than Hawaii's only freeway system.

I am always amazed by things that some can give a downvote to.

Hope everyone was safe."

How could this possibly be voted down by a rational person???

Glad no one was injured. Driving in the snow or ice is no joke and can be dangerous and scary. Best to avoid if possible. No job should ever guilt anyone for staying home due to the snow. Safety should always be top priority no matter what.

This is not to say the Northern Area of the Country is bad it is just that the Winters are terrible. I am sure regarding such Prefectures such as Akita, Aomori, etc the most significant dislike are the harsh Winters. Nevertheless I am sure such Prefectures are beautiful.
