This is rich given Japanese schools' whitewashing of history.

Are there any Japanese schools in North or South Korea getting funds from those Governments?

"It is suspected (the school) is under 'unjust control,'" Takahashi said, questioning the school's educational neutrality.

That would be the Japanese version of ‘neutrality’, of course.

Why bother paying taxes only for it to go to pro-koreans schools that teaches how to hate us? There is basically zero benefits and doesn't do anything to help our country. Literally zero. If they want to learn about their cultures, just move to that country or go visit as a tourist using expense out of their own pocket. Or at least these schools should be funded by Korea itself. That's how foreign countries to it anyway. If a foreign country want to introduce their culture in another country, they have to fund it themselves. We are basically throwing money out of the window with this nonsense.

If Japan is now questioning "educational neutrality", man-o-man have they got some work to do in their own public education system!

If a foreign country want to introduce their culture in another country, they have to fund it themselves.

Good point! Japan should also stop requesting government sports/cultural grants when they spread their martial arts ideologies in other countries, too!

A few comments here that focus on Japan's hypocrisy is rather hypocrite themselves.

You should focus whatever your complaint or criticism on;

The links of such school to known external threat (North Korea).

There are not many countries who subsidized a foreign language based school at the expense of their own national language. Learning a foreign language is no doubt encouraged all over the world but to give big assistance is a dangerous embrace of multiculturalism, & may jeopardize one's own national language. The far right western hemisphere groups would definitely be against this. (the most obvious exception is English of course)

The facts that should've been known from almost a 100 years ago that Japan will not allow the grow of element of other culture in its own land especially from its contentious neighbors i.e. China, Korea

how did these Koreans get to Japan in the first place?

These kids should be integrated in the Country where they live, why do their parents send them to Korean schools? If they want that they grow up like Korean citizens rather than Japanese citizens, well they should come back to North or South Korea.

Here in Europe this would be considered very weird, I think.

Read a textbook from a famous japanese Christian school here. It was total brainwashing. At least Korean students want to live and work in japan in peace.

South Korean peoples said Japanese Government does not give Japanese citizenship to Korean Residents (Zainichi Kankokujin) in Japan. They said the Korean Residents in Japan were discriminated by the Japanese Government. They got wrong information.

Korean Residents (Zainichi Kankokujin) in Japan are eligible for Japanese Citizenship and Japanese Passport if they want to but they cannot be dual citizen because Japan does not allow a dual citizenship.

Korean children should go to public school instead of go to private ethnic Korean school. Their parent should teach Korean language at home instead of sending them ethnic Korean school and Korean education. Ethnic Korean School is private school and not public school. So the School does not eligible for the Japanese government's school tuition subsidies.

Right, especially when going online and reading comments like this will do the job just as well?
