The battery problem is the most important to fix. And it will be fixed.

I saw the cracked cockpit windshield on TV. Looked worse than described in the news. Ground them, the potential for a major disaster with these planes seems imminent .

This is past getting ridiculous IMHO. I wouldn't ride these things even if it were a free trip to Japan and back. So many people (on various threads/ ticket buyers) brushing this off as small frivolous issues until one of these things become a fatal disaster. Then the same talking heads will complain and ask why nothing was done about it.

1980 my sentiments exactly. I've received enough thumbs down on the threads I posted about these issues. It's like you said too many brush offs concerning these issues. Any one of these issues could bring down this plane . I'm not understanding the mentality of people the brush it off. It's sheer ignorance or just plain stupidity I believe. You couldn't pay me to fly on one of these right now.

Why did the Boeing spokesperson think it necessary to state the country and company that manufactured the faulty circuit board? Boeing bought it, and presumably tested it, so it's their problem, 100%.

The dreamliner is escalating into a nightmare.

The comment on the circuit board was probably in response to a question (probably from the press) directed to Boeing as to the source of the circuit board. When your plane is made with international parts, the press gets real interested in where fingers can be pointed. As you note, the problem is Boeing's problem, so it does them no good to try and point fingers.

Haven't followed the news concerning new jets consistently but I would say leaking 40 gallons of fuel here and there, having engine fires once in a while even when its parked is no laughing matter, and hardly a "kink" you expect to just have to work through, as the people in the article are claiming it to be. I would imagine boeing would share in the cost (ie. reimbursement of some sort to the airliners) of these mishaps as, though there is no price that can be put upon the rep of an airplane manufacturer if you ask me.
