@nakanoguy01: Exactly. The idea of a royal family is not something for me to rally behind. Having said that, the Emperor himself seems like a genuinely good man with a fair sense of history. I can't possibly imagine Abe visiting a town that honors anyone of Korean heritage.

Yes, watched it on the news in South Korea and the visit even reflected well on my grandmother who normally is critical about modern Japanese politics. I'm glad he took the time out to visit such a site and I'm sure many of us took notice of his gesture.
