A few weeks ago, one of my 8 year old students smoked me in a game of shogi.

It lasted all of about 5 moves. It was insanity.

I have mad respect for players of the game, it's hard to think ahead playing it.

I played chess as an amateur, when I was a kid, and while shogi is definitely different, it takes a similar mind set.

I have a lot of respect for these players too, hence the earlier comment I made to a different poster, about earning the titles, and not just "deserving" them!
