Some folks are ignorantly stating "Make more beds available" and the doctors and nurses are responding, "Idiots! You can have as many beds available as you want, BUT there aren't enough medical staff to take care of them!"

Medical staff and facilities to care for infectious patients are at capacity!

And still the government of Denny has done nothing but suggest people stay away from going out too much!

I am on my fourth day with Covid and I can tell you it is nasty. Similar symtoms to a bad flu but it just keeps going. It took me two days before I could find a place to get tested. The local hospitals here in Kansai are swamped. I had my third booster shot in April and the sysmtoms are anything but mild. This current version of Covid needs to be taken seriously.

Maybe it is time for Japan to ban Japanese from leaving the country?

Actually it would be the first, even during the height of COVID Japanese were leaving the country. There were some flights overseas, and "foreigners" were allowed into the country as well.

Japan will never stop it's own from leaving and returning, but it DID stop most people from coming here!

There is currently no significant statistical difference in the rates of infection, hospitalization and or death between unvaccinated, 1 dose, 2 dose or boosted.

To determine statistical differences the demographics of the populations must be kwnon. Obviously if you compare 100 unvaccinated elementary school children with 100 vaccinated seniors in a care facility and find them equal that would not demonstrate "no difference" but in fact the opposite.

So, where is the data that allows for the statistical determination of significance? things like age, preexisting conditions, occupations, etc. If you don't have that data then your comment is false.

It should be, the professionals that do have access to that information and publish scientific reports (even in Japan) with their methodology open to scrutiny keep saying vaccines are being very effective, the problem is people that take pride in being irrational and choose to misrepresent the information in an invalid way to pretend the vaccines have no effect.

Probably it is depend upon where you live.

I got already 4x tested within the last few weeks, because almost every week one of my Co-workers is positive.

Me, my Co-workers and also my friends, who have to be tested, got tested very fast and easy.

All the 4x I was tested took me 10 minutes to go to the place and another 10 minutes to finish the test.

Very easy and fast.

When these vaccines were released, we were promised that they would stop the spread. Biden said so himself, obviously reading off a teleprompter. This was the message we were sold, by people who knew it to be a lie from the outset because RNA viruses mutate so rapidly. But said it anyway. Censoring people who disagree with you and question the narrative doesn't fix your problem, it just makes us even more suspicious of you, and rightly so.

No, that is still completely false, misrepresenting a study and pretending it proves the opposite than what the actual authors of that study say they found is not "reporting" something, it is just promoting disinformation.

And they do, because covid is the disease, not the infection, there is a reason these are not called "SARS-CoV-2 vaccines" but "covid vaccines" its been more than two years already, this point should be completely clear by now. Polio vaccines do not prevent the infection, they are not even very effective at preventing a mild case of fever by poliovirus, but they are very effective at preventing the most dangerous complications like paralysis and death. The same happens with most of the vaccines in use today. Pretending covid vaccines should have a much higher standard is not rational.

No I didn't because, Japan is not performing autopsies on covid suspected deaths. If someone isn't diagnosed with covid BEFORE they died they weren't counted as a covid death.

Moreover, during the surge last year the gov asked people to isolate at home and as a result we don't actually know how many people died of Covid since when people die at home they are not tested posthumously for covid.

Like most informed people, we are waiting for a vaccine that actually works, prevents infection and transmission. Until then, we stay clear of the mass clinical trials currently in place. With these numbers, herd immunity is inevitable.

I know when I say the government needs to step in and create makeshift wards they’ll also need to push the personnel and equipment requirements to scale. Other countries are doing it. This is 100% the countries fault not being prepared for this and the hospitals are feeling the strain. Long Covid additionally is no joke. I had full days of brain fog for 90 days now I get it for an hour or 2 daily, I caught Covid in January. I also get some spells of breathlessness and anxiety, if I do too much physical. Digestive tract does not work the way it did before Covid.

Vaccines obviously don't work!
