@78 he should have retired long ago.... Work until death here. Or perhaps he was happy doing that. But even so...... RIP "Mario"

I still have both an original Famicom and a Super Famicom hooked up to my living room TV that my young kids play even though they are decades old. He sure produced two timeless classics, not many can say that.

Even if his main contribution was just develop another way to have fun it is difficult to find someone that could have such a strong effect on so many people.

My family had a lot of older consoles when I was growing up, including the NES and SNES. So many of the games from back then are classics. So many happy memories from childhood that helped fuel my love of video games. May he rest in peace. :'(
