And please tell me Mr. Zozo, how will your billionaire traipse around the moon going to contribute to world peace? Because it's certainly not contributing to the very real problem of wars and climate change here on Earth.

Chicken!!!

Another weirdo billionaire Maezawa being ignored and dangled along by weirdo Musk. Maezawa is disppointed because he cannot get any attention from the Japanese media if he cannot pretend to be friends with internationally famous people like Musk.

I am also pretty sure Musk has no time to focus on helping Maezawa because he is too busy complaining about not getting his Tesla package and Trump getting convicted of felony. If has talked to Maezawa recently, it was probably to try and get some more money out of him.

Maezawa has gotten none of the accolades that he was hoping for since making the announcement over a year ago.

If Maezawa wants to be liked, then do something that benefits others not just him and his ego.

This decision has probably extended his life.

This decision has probably extended his life.

I dunno. Musk may be an idiot, but the people working for him are not. He's already got the shuttle service to the ISS down without incident.

More respect for Maezawa for knowing "when to fold 'em." I think this moon project is highly risky and wouldn't want him and those eight others to perish in space.

He said he signed the contract with SpaceX in 2018 assuming the launch would be possible by the end of 2023.

Maezawa's net worth has almost halved since then.

Musk unfollowed him on Xitter

Such are the machinations of late stage capitalist billionaired.

Come on billionaire Maezawa, you believed, or were persuaded to, booking a trip to the moon only to find out it could be one way.

Travel has no guaranteed, billionaire only, interstellar return flights.

He is an attention seeking, pathetic little man.

Smart. He wants to live.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

A very wise decision..

Good for him..

He is so smart being suspicious of Musk and his exploding rockets...

He could try it with China-Russia in the future..

Using US technology? Going to be waiting awhile.

No big lost, he was going to land in a desert in Nevada, USA and told to jump around

I'm sure that Maezawa's intent was good but Muskrat don't care about this guy. Not at all.

And SpaceX isn't NASA either. Better safe than sorry.

Setting deadlines for space travel are unrealistic unless it’s for the far future. The one certainty is delays are likely. That said, Maezawa could potentially have gone around the moon in Dragon, Falcon 9 and Falcon heavy are super reliable.

He made the wise decision. SpaceX is nowhere near advanced enough in this technology to guarantee at least reasonable safety.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Until every endangered ground nesting piping plover and rare hibernating lizard is guaranteed a safety and wellness check, Biden's FAA and EPA won't let crazy Musk launch his rockets.

Should just stop building anything in America.

Too many potential risks to workers and chemicals and the environment and stuff.

But nimby lawyers wouldn't get paid suing every construction project possible, so I guess we have to keep trying! Ganbare americans who want to build stuff!

Anyone piling on Musk or Maezawa is just jealous.
