Burning Bush:

That includes 2 brothers sharing an apartment

I don't know what goes on in your family, but you'd be hard-pressed to find two brothers who want to kiss each other on the mouth or go further.

Good news.

Japan is way behind on many minority issues, so there is a long queue for LGBT to get into. Women, divorced fathers, zainichi, burakumin, Ainu, etc. etc.

Japan is still so far behind most of the Developed World on this issue! There are even some Third World countries that have moved ahead on it, but Japan still lags behind for some inexplicable reason.

Equal rights for all!

Then you agree that same sex couples should be allowed to get married? Wonderful!

Great. Now just for a bit more legal recognition from the central government and all the agencies.
