Who would have thought? same government praises the worst war criminals of the deadliest war the worlds ever seen. Not surprising

It is an interesting phenomenon that while countless family support institutions and measures operate in Hungary, fewer children are born every year. A fertility rate of 1.5 is not enough to stop population decline. It is strange that in a rich country like Japan, kindergarten, school and healthcare are not free. I think the Japanese government has taken on a very difficult task. I wish them the best of luck.

But the 1948 law was a big change from previous laws. You could argue that prevention of birth of people with intellectual disabilities, mental illnesses or hereditary disorders was to prevent suffering of children. I think the controversial factor was that the decision could be made without the person's consent. Note that compulsory sterilization occurred in the USA until the 1970s, and probably in other countries too.

Good! the government should be punished for these actions, and it was also nice that they revoked the statute of limitations in this case, now to continue to the rest of the injustices that still have gone unpunished until now.

J-government will play dumb and hold out until these people pass away like the comfort women victims and the families of Japanese people kidnapped by NK (That was another idiotic idea by the Kim family). Then they will not have to pay, and the issue will be forgotten. trump uses the same strategy by stalling until the other side runs out of money or decide to settle.

It's staggering really, not even so much that it was implemented in 1948 but that it went on until 1996 and that now the government is so penny-pinching about compensation, while billions are spent on corporate welfare.
