Interesting photo and wall painting behind him.

Does it represent the Phoenix rising ?

But the emperor said he wanted to refrain from commenting on the system.

.

At least, in public.

"Are you looking forward to your state-sponsored holiday?"

"Oh yes, very much, thank you. Last time, I went fishing with the Duke of Edinburgh and the late Queen put on a barbeque. This time, I'm looking forward to seeing my old uni digs."

"Is the Empress ok?"

"Yes, I think she's fine. We won't have to put up with Sunak too much."

"Oh, and what about your heirs?"

"I have a nephew, y'know."

Not a big fan of Royal families but I see some good in Princess Kako.

Of course, she studied in Leeds!

Just a personal opinion. I fail to see the point of this trip.

Right now in the UK, football, and a general election are more important agenda's

It is nice to see royalty with keen memories. Naruhito-kun is no dummy and I am pretty sure he said they "treated him like family" in a tongue and cheek manner. Meaning, they said it was nice to see him and told him he looked well before asking when he would be leaving.

This is very good for our relationship with the U.K. as a British / Japanese person I look forward to seeing our emperor and empress at Buckingham palace. I hope they have a good trip.

Haha, I'm pretty sure that's how the press asked him questions

I think it is probably a japanese kite.

Warm kind recollections from Emperor Naruhito, I hope this UK state visit strengthens both royal families close friendship.

Another time and a so different country than the decadent, sinking, toxic UK of today..
