Perhaps the guy should be applauded. The incredibly slow rollout of the third booster in Japan is not proving a big problem because natural immunity from omicron is proving far better than any vaccine. Check out the recent speech by Bill Gates where he fully admitted this fact already proven by various research. He noted how Africa which has no COVID problem with very little vaccination was saved by this.

How do you expect Takeda, Daiichi Sankyo and the big trading companies to make money.

Boosters after booster will always be needed so that the big companies are rewarded for their

support of the LDP and bureaucrats for affording them with a place to descend to with fat salaries

when they retire.

Can we just replace the entirety of the people that currently make up the Japanese government with competent rulers and policy makers? Preferably have the replacements be from the current, modern age and know which end of a thumb drive to use.

LDP offers the public a sacrificial lamb and it's not even election time. Very unusual. It's not as if being totally foot-in-mouth ever held back leading Japanese politicians before. I suspect she isn't too popular among her peers for something else and that's why she's getting the axe.

He’s not the only joker that should be replaced.

Amen!

The PM, heck the whole party needs to be thrown out along with the USELESS bureaucrats. Oh for some REAL leadership...and not of the nationalist kind...

Even though we knew of the oncoming Omicron variant back in early fall, we still mobilized slowly just like the first two shots. Most of us should've been able to get boosted before New Year's, like most of my friends in the West were doing, which would've prevented a hell of a lot of infections before the giant 6th surge.

It doesn't seem to matter which human they put into this Health post, the bureaucracy will never be able to move swiftly (like for almost everything else they get their hands on).

By the time they decide the omicron wave will be over and hopefully this will become a non issue!

It’s been reduced to three months in Australia. I just had my third shot. I had two Astra Zenica and my boost was a Phiser. That’s ‘supposed to be’ the magic combination.

A new study being peer reviewed at the moment found that, double vaccinated with a first booster caught Omicron B1 variant. A small number then recovered and caught the B2 variant.

I think we don’t have to hurry. Priority must be for elderly and citizens will health problems. Healthy people social distance, wash your hands and don’t touch your face.

You can only sped up if there is enough supply. The reason 8 months between shots was decided was also because of a lack of vaccine supply. But what’s the situation now. And for sure, the logistics

Daishiro Yamagiwa, in his capacity as economic revitalization minister, has been praised for his handling of implementation of quasi-state of emergency measures against the virus

What a great job he has done. Economic revitalization by passing taxpayer money to failing businesses.

Bring back Taro Kono! At least we could make fun of his tweets!

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Suga say one of the reasons why he resigned, was to concentrate all his efforts on fighting covid?. Why doesn't he take on the role or is he still asleep?
