The Myanmar military junta are killing their own country's citizens dead left and right. I am sure that they can care less about a foreigner's visa status.

Why! Myanmar is such a nice friendly place that Japan has rejected every request for refugee status, so under that thinking their legal system must be fair and just.
So let the Journalist go through that nice fair legal system that Japanese immigration seems to view in good light.
