You realize they are the same? Not sure what the point your are making.

Its not i unusual for people to mix them up. There are people today that don’t comprehend that covid-19 and the Chinese flu are the same thing.

And in respect of producing a big epidemic, I think, Covid-19 and the Spanish flu are thought to be similar.

Yes they are the same. I mean the Spanish flu also known as 1918 flu pandemic. WikipediA says so.

In any case, I'm sure the COVID-19 pandemic will become a milestone that will go down in history like the Spanish flu or 1918 flu pandemic.

All of the people in this photo at the ball game know there is a risk. All of the people who would have been in those empty seats know as well. People can be responsible for their own lives. I am so tired of the control freaks who want to micromanage every aspect of everyone’s lives - pandemic or not. Be responsible for yourself and respectful of the choices of others. It’s not like they are out there aborting babies so they can enjoy a nice afternoon of sports entertainment. You cannot be harmed if you protect yourself to the max - if you so choose. Also, the vast majority of people who contract the virus do so at home or in small groups. I hope everyone is mindful of their decisions and careful with their health - but life goes on. You cannot shut down the world even doing a viral pandemic.

What is not safe to sit like that. They are just watching the game and are calm. Even if someone would be infected and expelling some virus, which the chance is strongly reduced with the mask, the air will disperse everything

Yes, but based on that, what is the real risk to be infected if someone you do not know just walk nearby. Does this person cough without any mask just in front when passing

The 2m social distance is based on the fact people do not wear mask , there is no vinyl sheet in front, etc....

This weekend seems the crowds are everywhere. It is already too late I expect around 8000 a day in 10 days, that is if they bother to test.

It's like sitting next to the door in a cafe or restaurant. Apparently that seat is fine because the next available seat is more than 2m away, but every single person who goes in and out of the premises walks directly past you defeating the whole point. It is, in fact, the worst seat to be in - as are most aisle seats in a stadium.

Apart from when they aren't sitting, which was one of my points... And all the people walking around the sitting people.

Not Go To Covid, proven super spreading initiatives, just sport events.

Just when you think it's getting a bit better a second wave or a third wave hits.

The vaccine is a few weeks away, but we should do everything necessary to make sure we keep the numbers of infected low. I support this decesion.

Who thought that allocating aisle seats to be used was a good idea?

If you are sitting on an aisle seat on the row nearest the walkway, then literally hundreds of people will be walking past you to go up and down the steps. That's right past you, not 2m away from you.

The seating plan in the picture is all very well - but did they all maintain social distancing rules when entering the stadium and moving to their seats? How about moving around the stadium to go to the toilet etc.? How about in the train station outside the arena? How about when the game ends and everyone starts filing out of the stadium - social distancing rules are kept at all times?

Nothing at all to worry about, live our lives as best we can, bring on the vaccine, do not close us down.

Japan has got this under well control and let's look forward to the Olympics
