Well it only took 2-3 years to approve the treatment at least as a clinical trial, for the rest of the world this is glacial pace, but for Japan it is lightspeed.

It is understandable that many ethical considerations have to be done carefully, but this is something that has been in the world for 7 years already, most of the work an ethics committee has to do has already been done and published.

I assume Japan hold to much control over women and their pregnetacy. A few years ago I was working with a Japanese national in Iwate and his wife became pregnant. A month later I ask how thing were going with his wife. He told me that the doctor had submitted to hostipal stay for her full term. I ask why, is a heath problem. Yes was the reply. His wife has a coronary problem that is not serve but still warrant her stay full term in hospital. Just recently I again hear of the same problem with my girlfriend brother wife with her second pregnancy . Has anyone else know of this happening. I seem to be a common occurance here in Japan. Would it be the Medical concern of Japan low birth rate, and the male doctors dominance over women Doctor in the same medical field. I seem to think its only male dominance and over the birth rate then the concern of the mental heath of both the to be parents ???

It makes me think of Dr Frankenstein.

Why so many children left to adopt to fend for themselves ?

Sure it is science prowess but it is reverse eugenics.

This is standard stuff with modern medicine, hardly "Dr Frakenstien"

While yes folks should consider adoption, it's not an easy process. There is also nothing wrong with a couple trying every possible option for having their own baby. Stop demonizing people who are considering all of their options of have their own child vs adoption.

Childish minds cannot grok the implications for 'certain' people who cannot now have children and remove any reference to those implications as mine has just been. If one wants to find minds with little experience in the world, a narrow view of Humanity, and little tolerance for reality, just mention something related to Human reproduction that is not missionary.

This is actually great news, and Japan is among the leading nations in this field. The first baby was born through this procedure less than 10 years ago, worldwide.

it is reverse eugenics.

So... nature?

@William

Give it a name : it is reverse eugenics = giving capacity to a life form to deliver babies that will genetically be sure to have later incapacity too for procreation.

(Except if loss of womb had been due to accident or external illness).

Whether you like it or not.

Factual.

Not judgemental.

I foresee the implications far more than you will ever do, but don't want to mention them to avoid burnig bebates.
