More good news for the US lead Pacific Alliance. More bad news for the Chinese dictatorship. US, Filipino and Japanese troops training together kind of blows the usual WWII arguments out of the water.

Excellent news, amazing photo! PM Abe, Trump and Duturde are the 3 strong man leaders of Asia who WILL stand against PRC bullying and communism. If PRC want to persist with illegal territory claims, and try to build fake islands, be ready for the fight of their life. This exercise is a last warning to them.

Transmission from HQ to the ground troops : "China is Charly Alpha Charly Alpha. I repeat, Charly Alpha Charly Alpha"

Pretty sure Japanese tanks went to America for training on regular basis.

Nice to see them in action and to show that despite appearances the SDF are willing to fight and protect! Banzai!

Bravo!

But... why was Taiwanese troops not invited?

They faced the greatest threat from China.

This is pretty cool! Glad to see the SDF building bilateral cohesion!

why was Taiwanese troops not invited?

I think they should be involved too. Any exercises with Japan, US, ROK, or the Philippines should have Taiwan's armed forces involved. It's sad that we'd rather keep the PRC happy to protect out pocket books than support a fellow democracy.

But... why was Taiwanese troops not invited?

Definitely. We put aside that and other issues to help China (PRC) get off their 3rd world economic knees. Now that they have attained power we don't have to cut them any breaks. We know now they want everything and are wiling to go against international law and opinion to accomplish their expansionist goals.

The Philippines kicked the U.S. Military out so there should be no U.S. troops involved in defending them until they are willing to accept permanent U.S. bases on their soil. If the Philippines want the U.S. Military to defend them, then they should be required to take all of the Marine Bases that are on Okinawa. Why should the people of Okinawa be required to bear the burden for hosting bases to defend a country that kicked the U.S. military out.
