Just like when they collected funds for the Tohoku Disaster?

Will the people actually in need, receive the money?

Or will it just be scammed off by corrupt people in charge of the “foundation?”

By the way, lot's of money are being made some where else off the backs of the Ukrainians refugees!!!?

Raise funds for needy Japanese instead.

$37 million for 1200 so-called refugees, who in reality could be far right political activists, under strong recommendation from the US Embassy, coming from a country listed as the 123rd most corrupt country, seems a good plan.

live seen a couple of them on tv, they are not interested in escaping war, just lobbying for Ukraine’s destruction and invasion of Donbass.

Good initiative, it would be good to expand the target of the help, but supporting the people taking refuge inside of Japan is a nice first step. This of course is good for the Ukrainian refugees but also hopefully will help funding measures that can be later used for similar purposes, maybe not hard infrastructure but at least developing some kind of system to optimize the help being provided.

It would be extremely good if this becomes just the first of such drives and people that are being displaced by other wars can be also included later, Ukrainians are not the only refugees that need help right now.

how abt to help japanese citizens and residents FIRST?

Then they won't get any brownie points from the west and America.

Of course they need and deserve help here when making their first steps in Japan. There’s no reason to discuss or complain about it. And btw, no, the direct neighborhood , EU countries and such, are not safe enough for all of them, because the Putin regime has also very many people there and still a long reach for brutal rage or other covered activities. In Japan you quite probably won’t run often or everyday into a Russian spy or covered attacker when having made it out of the Ukraine. That’s not the case in Western Europe. You might be quickly exposed to more spies or other Putin’s staff and common anti-Ukrainian violent Russians right from the arrival and anytime later or wherever you go, much more than even being exposed to in their former Ukrainian home town or village.

not true. They got preferential treatment over over tens of millions of refugees, asylum seekers and desperate migrants escaping horrendous situation, many caused by NATO/EU countries. They also get free accommodation while hundreds of thousands of Europeans are homeless. They get free financial support even though one in five Brits have to skip one meal a day, and one in six Germany. They get free education and social support.

the 3 year visa part is true though.

im not anti-Ukrainian. Most are women and the percentage of sex-trafficking and prostitution is through the roof. I feel sorry for them.

Why? The U.S just sent billions and they are now claiming they don’t have enough bullets.

Yeah just like I thought all that money being funneled right back in the American Politicians bank accounts. I believe that called money laundering.

this is how it looks like when you are going to throw money in ...black hole as UA is exactly one.

They realize Ukraine is a mega corrupt country right?

I have no problem if the money goes to the refugees pockets directly

Can't even imagine what will japan do if it received the amount of refugees Poland did!!??

It seems there is an oportunity for Japan to utilize Ukrainian wheat farmers to work on Japanes farms that are switching to wheat production to take advantage of much higher prices.

The Ukrainian farmers can pass on their extensive knowledge on growing Wheat while working to support themselves on Japanese farms and the Japanese farmers get first hand experience from experts plus good workers into the bargain. Even when the Ukrainians eventually go back to rebuild their nation they will leave behind valuable knowledge and expertise with those who may never have grown that crop before.
