And yet, somehow, it's Japan's 'fault.'

agreed. Japan should re-impose sanctions immediately.

With such a fat buffoon leading that godforsaken piece of continent, NK deserves nothing any longer until they just eat between themselves. C'mon Japan, put those sanctions back up and even harder now.

"Pyongyang’s decision to resume a probe into the fate of Japanese citizens kidnapped by North Korean agents in the 1970s and ‘80s."

This is not going to result in any kidnapped Japanese citizens being returned to Japan. The Japanese government should be working together with the South Korean government and any other willing governments ( not likely China ) to destabilize this awful North Korean government until it collapses.

Hey, I thought they are friends now. Japan should keep quiet and not to make such a big deal out of it unless it gone into Japanese territory. Is it? Politic is a dirty game let play along with it. Why piss North Korea offs, if it does not affect Japan. Let the UN worry about it, this would piss China and South Korea off.

Time to give up on the kidnap victims. It's sad, but they are gone. Full sanctions on NK. No quarter. No money transfers allowed. No trade whatsoever. No aid. Time to put an end to the hermit kingdom's nonsense. Abe should spend some time getting Asia, the USA, S.Korea, and Europe on board with this idea. Russia, too.

Ok. So USA test ICBMS every year. Yet North Korea cannot. "UN security council. A big joke"

Samction easing. It hasn't been eased yet? It is losing friendship of only one country that expressed to be friend. Sorry for N Korean hungry people. You will live on rice soup a day for a long time. S Korea has to realize that Japan is not its enemy yet.

@kiyoshiMukai: Where and how often USA testing ICBMs?

Abe didn't see this coming? He actually believed NK sincerity? It's the same old story with this country again and again, they will never, ever learn-period! I am not surprised by this, they totally played Abe for a fool and he bought into it.

N K missile shooting, Russia does not like. US discontinued ICBM tests.

"I think that the US made a very right step when it has postponed a ballistic missile test in order not to provoke the situation. I think that we all should thank the US authorities for this step," Russian President Vladimir Putin was quoted by Voice of Russia correspondent Olga Denisova as saying after his talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.""I hope that this step will be noticed by our partners in North Korea and relevant conclusions will be made. I also hope that everyone will calm down and start a joint work in a bid to defuse tensions," Putin added.

Toshiko. Check wikipedia. It says Minuteman III LGM-30 last test was in 19/12/2013 with a range of 13,000km. A far larger missile than the korean missiles.
