Just keep pushing Kim, but don't be surprised if you accidentally hit something and get a spanking.

Seeing as ANY activity of this nature is AGAINST the UN Resolutions (Nuke Detonation, ICBM tests), we should SHOOT IT DOWN anyway...whether it has any warhead mounted in it or not....just for fun.

I desperately fear that someone may take it upon themselves to selfishly deprive us of the leadership of the great Kim Jong Un and we will have to suffer repeated head lines bemoaning the fact that he is no longer with us and the great state of North Korea (grass soup notwithstanding) will be left in a state of disarray!

In 2012 NK missile test ruin my Okinawan Holidays. This time if anything happens like that then I will definitely sue Kim Jong.

If they launch, shoot it down, aim retaliatory weapons at NK, especially where the little worm might hide, and see what China does. Sometimes, escalation brings about the desired result, but from the rearguard. I think it's time to force the issue with this flathead.

Japan is surrounded by hostile nuclear powers in its neighbourhood . It must develop effective deterrence to tame their belligerence , safeguard its own sovereignty and protect long term vital national interests to promote stability and peace in the region.

B.l. SharmaJAN. 30, 2016 - 01:56AM JST Japan is surrounded by hostile nuclear powers in its neighbourhood . It must develop effective deterrence to tame their belligerence , safeguard its own sovereignty and protect long term vital national interests to promote stability and peace in the region.

There is no effective deterrence, nuclear or otherwise. NK could destroy a good bit of Japan with conventional weapons and therein lies the problem. Not even could the U.S. launch a conventional first strike that assures that NK could still not launch/shoot something at Seoul as well as numerous Japanese targets. Nor could the U.S. count on China not warning NK of the impending strike and/or getting involved.

I do not believe that the likely deaths of tens of thousands of S. Koreans and Japanese is a good trade for the destruction of NK military capabilities.

The real problem with the situation is not NK but China. China needs NK to keep everyone else on edge. NK is a already a complete mess so it's not like we can simply wait until even China dispares of it's behavior. China no more wants to see a unified Korea than Russia wanted a unified Germany.

Stay calm everyone,please;

The US has noted an increased activity at a North Korean launch site, indicating preparations for a possible space launch in the near future, unnamed US officials said on Thursday. "Could be for a satellite or a space vehicle - there are a lot of guesses. North Korea does this periodically - they move things back and forth," one of the officials told the AFP news agency. There was nothing to indicate the launch was "ballistic-missile related," he added.

And

The U.S. now believes North Korea might have attempted to test components of a hydrogen bomb on January 6, after further review and analysis of the latest intelligence information. A U.S. official directly familiar with the latest U.S. assessment said there may have been a partial, failed test of some type of components associated with a hydrogen bomb.
