The geological version of UNESCO heritage sites!!! Here we go again!

It doesn't make sense. The geological age represented in the layer of rock, and the time of Japan, from Jamon, Yayoi, to today, are two very distant geological eras. What do Japanese people think: 700, 000 thousand years ago people were walking around talking about nohonjin yokatta desu ne? Give me a break!

i don't think i've read a more dense comment than this. recent discoveries of geologic time periods have been named after the area where the best example of that period is found. Look up the Devonian for that. Even the Silurian time period was named after a Celtic tribe. so give me a break with your uneducated bashing.
