Oh no! Didn’t the world learn from Wuhan and what that did to us all? Utter madness isn’t it?

Wait will they bring that virus to Japan, for "research"?

Ebola has been studied and researched froom well before Covid19. With proper safeguards its not an issue. Like 4 levels underground. While Covid can be nasty, hemorragic fever is not pretty sight.

As far away from Tokyo as possible, I see....

Nagasaki University has long been the place in Japan where the scariest viruses are studied. The researchers are known for doing field work in the world's hot zones, including during the Ebola outbreaks in Africa. But field work can only take you so far. In order to develop vaccines and cures for these diseases, they need to study the viruses at the cellular and molecular levels. No one expects that that such work can be done in a cave or jungle. State-of-the-art laboratories are needed. While it's true that human error at such facilities can pose a risk to society, the potential benefits are huge.

This facility is not ”for Ebola” as stated in the title, it is for any deadly pathogen, not limited to Ebola.

Yes, viruses can and do escape these facilities but anyway research must be done to be prepared. Like the latest corona outbreak, it could have been natural as well.

Here we go..... Coming soon "The government sincerely apologises for the leak which killed thousands". Heads bowed, pensioned off, slap on the wrist.

Deadly viruses like Ebola need to be studied and vaccinations produced for new strains.

I’m m a country where safety standards are lax at the best. This is a bad idea.

Yes, viruses need to studied but why in every seperate nation ? And in Japan ? Where medical blunders are daily business but either hushed up or paid damages( lttle) for by doctors.

i had a “ doctor” wanting to operate on my hand under full sedation and 6 days hospital. after they first messed up wound treatment . Went to another hospital, got an injection and 10 days antibiotics and done.

A disaster in the making. Best equipment invthe world for hospitals and labs. Worst doctors and researchers

Wonder which endemic organisms they will study

There are over 60 such facilities worldwide.

Wow only 60

I'm totally sure this will never be allowed to escape! r-right?
