Gov't warns Unification Church over murky child adoption practice

I have no doubt at all they gave the church a very stern look... before asking them to not stop donating to their campaigns.

ReasonandWisdomNippon: The writer's wrath is primarily aimed at Korea and not the so-called Unification Church, which he or she incorrectly and prejudicially calls "The Korean Unification Church." That isn't its correct name. Also, the Unification Church is now an international organization. There are a signifiant number of Japanese who have been involved in in the Unification Church and used it to gain wealth and power.

The laws of the land apply only to certain people, and clearly it doesn't apply to these people.

This strategy used by cults were also more brutally used by slave owners in the US. It is used to take away any relationships that could possibly be stronger than the relationship between slave and their master. This social isolation will make it easier to control or manipulate the individuals.

Aren't there strict laws around adoption.

Particularly a child adopted through any means that isn't legal, is not recognized as the child and it is illegal to do so.

The only channel for adoption is the official one, there should be no question, ambiguity, or murkiness about the process and who can or cannot facility it, or the parties involved.
