I only flew Zipair because Z is my favourite letter, no more I guess.

This is absolutely ridiculous. If it was my airline, I wouldn't have spent the cash. Putin isn't worth it. If anyone asked - and I doubt anyone would be daft enough to think a low cost carrier in Japan was going out of its way to support a foreign dictator - I'd have told them it belonged to the airline before Putin. We should not be losing money or spending money because of Putin. We need better governments.

I would only make the connection if I were in Ukraine or flying to/from Ukraine or Russia. Seems overly sensitive, but whatever. It is their money, branding, to waste.

Booked a trip to California next month on Zip, and was a bit worried about the "bare-bones" stuff. 900 USD round trip, much cheaper than usual for a summer flight even in non-COVID scenarios. And no COVID test requirement now for entering the US saves another ichiman to niman en, lol.

Logo redesign is often a vanity project for corporate boards. But probably not in this case. Daft, misguided attempt at damage limitation. Anyway, slava branding consultant companies! Lots of people made money from this, and it wasn't Zipair

Even before the Russia thing, that has got to be the most unimaginative tail logo ever. Somebody literally just typed a Z in Times New Roman. Have some pride in your business people!

Anywho, I highly recommend this airline as I flew this for the first time back in May and it was a pleasant experience. There are some nitpicks here and there, but it is hard to argue for the price. The bare minimum is all there like new 787 planes, engineers and technicians from JAL, veterans mixed with new CAs on board, comfy but not the roomiest seats, Wifi that is slow to start but works when you get it going, reliable pilot, clean lavatory, and so on.

Note to Zipair - The letter V is also not recommended. Perhaps a large picture of a zipper on the tail would be more appropriate.
