Why Poland?

Should these symbols of the Japanese state be legitimizing the extreme right, authoritarian government of Poland with such a visit? Though maybe that is the message from the Abe government, which itself would lurch further to the right given the chance.

So, they should only visit countries with similar political structures to Japan? So much for diplomacy.

They are great ambassadors for Japan

Because they accomplished......???

Because Polish government is a democratic government.

Because Poland did not, does not and will not accept accept any form of fascism or communism.

Facts stand on their own, learn the history of this proud nation. One is obligated to learn before voicing once opinion.

It seems so weird to think of Fumihito and Kiko as the Crown Prince and Princess, but I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it. (I tend to forget that he's in line before his son).

Decades of training and work as diplomats representing Japan, with dignity and an absence of scandal? Not a job I would want. Or a life I'd wish upon an enemy, but I appreciate the work they do.

taj, do you yourself even think that remotely qualified as an answer to my question?

I am going to have to take my negative votes over a question and the above non-answer to mean that they have accomplished absolutely nothing except to perhaps enjoy some expensive dining with foreign dignitaries with my tax yen.

There is not enought place at the red carpet for a Crown Princess from Japan... Such ignorant and bad treatment... :/ Such a shame of bad educated und unprepared right-wing polish president and his wife... - just shame, they are not ready to represent my country at all, they should get job in the field, plant potatoes or something like this. I feel sad, that my goverment has some mental illness, education is worse, but too religious and fanatic. Shame...
