At least the J authorities are doing something. Just be glad that Japan has not outsourced almost all of its pharmaceutical manufacturing to China, like the US has.

jojo: "In the grad scheme of things, tainted anti-fungal is LEAST OF OUR WORRIES."
The specific problem, yes, but the root, not at all; The company should be shut down, sued, it's bosses imprisoned if need be, and serve as a warning to the many, many, MANY other companies who take shortcuts knowing there will be little to no punishment -- and none that will outweigh profits made. You ever wonder why Japan is having so many problems coming up with an actual possible vaccine that can compete? Yes men don't help on the world stage, and virus don't "please cooperate" or care about corner cutting.

Apologies Morita Akio above.

Properly functioning organizations of all sorts should be able to handle numerous issues simultaneously. Especially if deaths are involved.
Mortita Akio and other Japanese giants would be ashamed seeing what's happened to quality control these days. Is Deming considered yesterday?
