Shouldn't have to provid exta, should have provided more than was needed, from the start. Now! It's the time to improve housing. Safety for those that remain.

But you can live with the fear of earthquakes and other natural disasters? I understand the emotional response, and the writer's desire to insert some drama into the story, but let's get these people some mental counselling before we spend more money on trying to stop mother nature.

I have a question: if the land under your house is now in the ocean, where do you rebuild? If, for example, Taro’s house was on the side of a mountain and that side is now spread out all over the alluvial plain, where does Taro build his new house?
