You people never wondered why no more flu and influenza numbers are reported in 2020? Did the two just left the planet?

It is impossible to follow the Japanese logic,I gave up trying a long time ago.

I think they don’t test as its very expensive and it will only serve to prove whats probably already true...that theres hundreds of thousands of infected people.

But with only 1% of those infected needing hospitalization, I don’t know what the right strategy actually is.

"Japanese people more cautious" = is that is study ? We have data ?

On the other hand, they created a robot to detect people without a mask = because people aren't cautious ?

So the dilemma facing the Japanese traveler becomes: 'Should I visit Tokyo Disney Resort?'

At least people are wearing mask unlike King Kong!

“Japanese people more cautious..”

says the headline. However, there are two men in the picture: one without a mask over his nose and the other wearing it as a chin strap with his mouth and nose exposed. Cautious? Maybe ‘J-cautious’? Is that a term?

Restaurants all booked out GoTo in full swing.

Um, not so good with The Google, are you.

Anyone using that scheme isn't very sharp. In this uncertain climate any extra money you have should be banked for the future safety of your family. Even if the government were paying 90% I still wouldn't be spending the 10%. Who knows what's going to happen next year, don't be enticed to spend your saving on overpriced hot tubs and bean cakes.

I’m a GoTo fan. Love to support local people. Hard times. Let’s help each other.

Talk about a contradiction “ more cautious but we travel anyway “ .

I agree with another poster here saying he gave up a long time ago trying to understand the logic here.

Either you live in Japan and let it all run off you or you go banana.

I say that, I try, but sofar I did not manage to do it. It is a love it, hate it situation every day.

Sadly Japanese people prefer 50 percent paid holidays to safety. Their way is only going to prolog real danger to themselves.

Good to see people getting out there and enjoying themselves. While other posters want everyone to lockdown if your a foreigner here you can always return to your home Country nobody is forcing you to stay here.

As I keep saying, the people who complain are out living their lives too. They just love seeing other people miserable.

"I thought the number of infected people would decrease when I bought my ticket a month ago," said a 17-year-old high school student who came with a friend to JR Maihama Station to go to the Tokyo Disney Resort. "I am worried to some extent."

You thought wrong, hah. This is why we went last month, before it got colder. The weather was perfect and lines not too long.

It seems most people enjoy go-to-travel/eat campaign as much as they can until the government stops the campaign.

Whatever caution people have is pitched against FOMO (fear of missing out) over the huge one-time discounts that are currently available, but only until the budget for them runs out.

I sometimes wear like that outside, and put mask on properly before getting indoors
