$80M for going into space - fine. If it changes his life for the better, great.

How people choose to spend their money is their own business. We all have different ideas for where money should go. I'll listen to what other people think, but in the end, it is my choice, just like it was Maezawa's choice.

The fact that he earned that much money from fashion bothers me much more than how he chooses to spend money. The entire fashion industry seems frivolous to me, after basic clothing is provided. OTOH, I expect lots of people think my work is frivolous too.

I want Maezawa to continue to get involved in space activities, invest more in the field, especially homeland Japanese projects. As a tourist, he has already paid up a lot to Russia.

Its undisputable what positive help for the planet that 80 million could do regardless of what he has already done.

Basic needs like food , shelter and healthcare and not more digital bunk.

I'd rather travel the whole Earth rather than stuck in space with the dark surroundings.

check out his twitter ID. @ Y O U S U C K 2020.

it was posted in DW dot com.

he does have a sense of humor, no?

He said you're just criticizing him because you haven't been in space. Haha.

Once he realize that it has not filled the void missing in his life, his twitter following has not increased that much, nor will it impress or get the respect of other international billionaires like Bezos, Musk or even Kanye West. What will he do next?

Will he use this "15mins of fame" to get on Japanese TV and become a talento?

I’d rather remain earthbound.

For what? Such waste of money

How about using some of that money for a good cause?!”

He probably does not just spent his money on this… at least he has built something and created jobs for many people… Wondering if that is not falling the Good cause category?

World hunger and healthcare and education now that would be a worthwhile venture to spend on.

What he does with his money is for him to decide, not for you. Spend your own money as you wish. He has contributed greatly through his entrepreneurial activities and many who work for Zozotown have benefited from his activities.

If we had some greater-than-thou central planners telling people how to spend their money we wouldn’t even be here communicating over the internet to begin with.

80 million could have really helped alot of people here on earth.

World hunger and healthcare and education now that would be a worthwhile venture to spend on.

Fashion tycoon Yusaku Maezawa, his producer Yozo Hirano and Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin made a soft landing in a Russian Soyuz capsule in the steppes of Kazakhstan at 9:13 a.m. about 148 kilometers southeast of the city of Zhezkazgan.

What a shame.

Really enjoyed watching his YouTube space videos.

And thanks for creating ZoZoTown too - thanks to indeed all billionaires who had success in what they did and employed thousands of people along the way.

Japan especially could use some more billionaires. Not like the politicians are going to take this country anywhere good.
