Not really newsworthy content…
wallace
Photo?
Fighto!
The fact that you read the story - and commented - means that it is newsworthy enough.
Jimizo
Indeed.
I can’t imagine he’ll go down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole parroting ‘proxy war’.
N. Knight
Whether you agree with his opinion or not, he is prepared to split from the herd and show what he believes in.
I'm sure you're embarrassed about plenty of things you did in the past.
If you're not, you probably never stepped out of someone else's shadow.
He might or might not be embarrassed about this in the future. Doesn't matter. No one will care. He'll probably go far.

I'll see your The youngins are so easily misled and raise you a There's no fool like an old fool. :-)
OssanAmerica
Maybe. But nowhere near as much as if he had gone dressed as Vladimir Putin.

Any gesture to raise the political consciousness of people put to sleep by the suffocating conformity of Japan's conservative society is to be welcomed. Whatever his intent, it's a harmless gesture (and dumping the obligatory dull suit is a plus).

Give that young man a cigar!
shogun36
that would take too much effort around here.
but it would have made a world of difference and keep us from going to other websites it check it out.
im sure that went over super well with the ladies at the after party.
great choice, guy

Well he graduated from Kyoto, so he's obviously a bright lad.
Good looking, too.
I hope he goes far.

Most of the world sees this for what it is. Young or old. Support for Putin is a tiny minority.
englisc aspyrgend
Good for him both for his support of a people and country defending their liberty and culture and also for adding a little lightness to the proceedings.
Mark
A photo of this student dressed like Mr. Zelensky could be very helpful.
Vincent Roberts
Good on him. We need more people with open minds
ClippetyClop
What a kid! Spent 3 months growing some stubble and nailed the look.
Yawn. How utterly humourless an individual you are.
I suppose he could have gone as Putin and tried to kidnap his fellow classmates.
Yuuju
All my love and warmth to you, my friend! :3
ushosh123
Not sure if even cosplay, I guess he did have to grow a beard.
Bruce Pennyworth
Go Russia!
Alfie Noakes
If the rumours are true, a tiny little gold one would have been quite the ticket.
Meiyouwenti
The Zelenskyy lookalike graduate seems to see the world in a simple black and white, good and evil dichotomy. Years from now he’ll look back at his graduation day and realize how shallow and ignorant he was and get embarrassed.
deanzaZZR
20 something year old Japanese does CosPlay. Nothing to see here. Move on.
Fighto!
Good for him. President Zelenskyy and his staying with his citizens as they bravely defend their home from the fascist Russians is admired all throughout the free, democratic world - and Japan is no exception.
Shame there is no picture. Surely it wouldn't have been a stretch to include one?
yokohamarides
I'd say this must be satire - but then this is Japan.
Ronin Tsukebin
Oh, did anyone see a picture of this Japanese student? Was he wearing high heels, too? There is a professionally done dance video of Zelensky and 3 other men in high heels and leather chaps provocatively thrusting their pelvic areas, sticking their tongs out, etc. This Japanese guy should have that costume at the graduation party nijikai, too, for the Full Monty!

You'd have got a fair few thumbs down for that on this site. Perhaps you are showing a bit too much of your own initiative, son. Better go steady on that.
Ronin Tsukebin
Oh, to so young and impressionable again! Liberals, and how they love to self-virtue...smh
Yrral
If someone gave you 100 ,of billion of dollars, and you could not make hard decision, that would preserve the rest of your country
FizzBit
Poor kid. The youngins are so easily misled
Daninthepan
Not sure impersonating the man Putin most wants to have killed in the world is a good idea.
