Congratulations Team Tokai! While I was rooting for the team from Ashiya University, having just seen a news story about the team on local Kansai TV, this is still great news for Japan! Solar energy research needs to be encouraged worldwide and its application applauded as well.

They've been having these races for how long? Many years, right? Although it's encouraging, it feels that solar power really hasn't progressed as far as it should. I really can't wait until its truly viable and not some expensive daydream.
