Johnny's successor company starts compensating sexual abuse victims

One of my students did a presentation about Johnny’s last week. Not a hint of irony or even a wink towards all the rape of young boys that took place.

Did you push back on this presentation? It is important for students to get the truth, even if it hurts. You could do it in a very polite way, not attack them, but just point out that there were problems at the company and they were forced to change their name due to this scandal.

Well 834 has made claims, and 50 or so is approved, so it does appear there's some process and evidence involved. What the evidence itself is, I have no idea, these people were just sitting on it.... Thinking it would be pointless to bring the case forward all these years? Anyways it's good they are finally getting some compensation.

I'm sure there is evidence but in this case it seems that anyone in the "J" organization that is claiming "Johnny touched my privates" is getting a payout.

How can there be a defense? 

Do you honestly believe decades of abuse could be done without the participation of countless other people? A case could be easily done if the evidence expected from this systematic abuse is completely absent. This is obviously not the case.

There is evidence.

It would seem that anyone involved with Johnnys can just claim they were a victim and claim some cash. How can there be a defense? The man himself is long dead.

I am glad the victims here will be compensated, but I also think, in the interest of the public here, the agency should be forced to close, divest itself of all earnings, giving them back to the victims, and disappearing from the public view, forever!
