That “temporary heaven (sic)” looks pretty scorched.

Even if it wasn’t, the radiant heat from a structure fire is hot enough to melt an aluminum banister across the street.

Most victims of fires die of smoke inhalation, rather than being burned to death.

The fire services should be able to establish the cause of the fire. Dying in a fire, even from smoke inhalation is a dreadful way to die.

Looking at the video there is a large rear balcony untouched by the fire.

I remember seeing a short spot in the news showing a figure on the balcony in front of the flames...guess it was taken off the air for now because of ongoing investigations?

Dying from smoke inhalation is pain free, you simply do not wake up, so no pain and suffering, that's the good news. The bad news, dying is ALWAYS dreadful!

There's FAR more to this story than meets the eye, stay tuned, way too many police on site in the pics, this is no standard home fire situation.

Quite a shocking story! I remember her well as she came to prominence under Koizumi. Initially they said there were 3 people in the fire! Two cadavers and a third person who was still alive! Who was the third person? Apparently, the daughter had some kind of disability. Don't know if that is relevant!

I think you probably mean a temporary haven.

"Smoke inhalation" is a polite way to say the victims lungs were burned, blistered by scalding hot gases then filled with liquid from the burns. it is a dreadful way to die.
