Yes, I noticed that. So much more potential for destruction. Especially to a nuclear power plant on its knees. Poorly constructed storage tanks. Ad-hoc, temporary 'systems'.

Have the earthquakes have become a lot more frequent these past couple years or since 2011 the news is reporting on them more?

Tokyo Electric Power Co, which operates the Fukushima plant, said the quake did not adversely affect the site.
Oh, that's all right then. After all they've probably made a thorough check of every inch of masonry and every centimetre of every one of the thousands of shoddily-built water storage containers since 5:24 this morning.
And it's good to see they can now get inside the damaged reactor buildings themselves to make such a statement so confidently.

Wouldn't it be pretty tough to know when nothing is straight and level anymore, bandaid repairs litter the facility and water leaks are found all over the place? What could possibly look more out of place if more damage had occurred?

Right on schedule, here's YangYong with the autotext.
A M4.6, shindo 3 quake isn't going to cause damage to anything.
