I am happy to hear that Tepco did not notice additional problems. I remember waking up and my bed was shaking, my mind started racing, "Is this the big Tonnankai Earthquake? All the reactors, the spent fuel pools that are not designed to withstand a major earthquake, is our plutonium safe?"

People criticize Tepco for constantly lying, withholding data, and not seeming to care, but they forget about mornings like this, when I guess someone near the Fukushima plant was able to know that there was no additional damage. Anyway, I feel better knowing this, thanks.

Not exactly a confidence-inspiring statement, given that it took them 4 months to "notice" a socking great pile of deadly steaming radioactive crap in their own compound.

It was weird last night - I was actully lying awake thinking we havent had any quakes for a few days!

Another rude awakening here in Tohoku Japan. Will we ever get a good night's sleep? Can you troll an article about aftershocks? Will the moderators ever stop deleting my comments? We watch and wait.

TEPCO hadn't noticed any damage = a tired overworked and irradiated tepco worker was woken up, told to grab a torch and walk around a bit and see he could notice anything.

It's getting worse and more alarming. More and more earthquakes are coming, they are never ending and they are getting more threatening. I am afraid the oncoming next big ones might cause irretrievable damage.

I see no sign of growing preparedness on the government side. The only thing the government trying to do is, to build a back up capital. I think it would be time for Japan to get a backup country as long as they have the money to buy one (no kidding) and yes a backup government.

How can you be so sure about that these are the after shakes of the big one, when even the world's best seismologist are in the dark? How can you ignore the series of strong earthquakes that are shaking the whole planet with higher frequency in the past few years? How can you disregard the dramatic changes in the world climate and overall inner stability that scientist have been following and registering in the past few years and they detected that there is strong correlation between them but no one knows for sure what is going to happen next and where?

I am not a seismologist so I do not know anything what these frequent earthquakes are telling us, but I would not make a quick conclusion as you have stated. The fact is the frequency of earthquake is upward trend.
