Fine! Right path to sustainable development for a country prone to earthquakes, tsunamis and typhoons! Also, dont forget to ensure that companies don't monopolize power generation and distribution. The shift will need massive campaigns as people have been deceived so much for decades about safety, cleanliness and environment friendliness of this nuclear energy thing! It has been marketed as cheap, yet everybody including companies cannot even resettle and compansate the few thousands who are affected. It will take decades to clean up and some areas will remain uninhabitable for long long time! There is need to establish eco-village pilot projects all running on renewables, together with change in school curriculum to teach youth about renewables. Establish a university on renewables for top-notch research such that japan positions itself as exporter of renewables technology and human resources
