Well that relationship has a lot of promise

It is an incredible opportunity, to get a free trip around the moon, only a handful of humans and no women have done that. I’d go for it if I was female. but I’d definitely be a “I want a white wedding”, then tell him to sling his hook once we were back on terra firma. I certainly would not let him bring that toy. Ouch.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Hmm, it's actually very easy in Japan to get a woman with money....

14 ( +16 / -2 )

If Maezawa farted in front of you what would you say?

Put your spacesuit on.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I’m sure its because of his magnetic personality.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Chuishite kudasai!!!

Elon Musk's SpaceX?? Very very very brave girlfriends!!!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

pathetic

7 ( +10 / -3 )

I'm surprised. The number is lower than I expected.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

This is just so pathetic... girls with no self-respect and a rich tosser who thinks you can buy love.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

I don't want to say I told you so, but I TOLD YOU SO!

3 ( +4 / -1 )

"If Maezawa farted in front of you what would you say?", with users presented with a photo of the billionaire varying from happy to sad depending on their score.

So which answer gives you the highest score? Haha.

Hmm, it's actually very easy in Japan to get a woman with money....

Where can I find these wealthy women?

10 ( +10 / -0 )

I guess Tinder didn't work for him.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Weee look at them golddiggers. Ok, I'd like to see a breakdown of age, ethnicity, hometowns and of course photos.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Hmm, it's actually very easy anywhere to get a woman with money....

Corrected for you.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

pathetic

It's pathetic that 20,000 women want to be his girlfriend? Or is the fact that he's a wealthy entrepreneur that's about to fly to the moon in his own private space ship?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Japanese women simulate for money.

man is a wallet here. nothing more.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Pic: Look at that man-boy with his toy rocket.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Hey gal... wanna ride my rocket? No, not that one, the other obe

0 ( +4 / -4 )

There is a significant risk of not returning alive from that trip, so I’d factor that into the yes/no equation on deciding to go on that date.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

People shouldn't be up in arms about this. Many women get on these dating shows to get their foot into the industry. Terrace House and Ainori members have gone on to be on TV, movies and released albums. Why do I know this? My wife is glued to these garbage shows lol

5 ( +5 / -0 )

The show's application site now includes a "love diagnostic test" where potential entrants can test their compatibility with the entrepreneur, who sold his online fashion business Zozo Inc to SoftBank Group Corp last year.

Multiple-choice questions include "If you rode in a private jet where would you go?" and "If Maezawa farted in front of you what would you say?", with users presented with a photo of the billionaire varying from happy to sad depending on their score.

I' not seeing that on his website. Can you give us a link, please? And hurry, applications close tomorrow 10am, lol

Hmm, it's actually very easy in Japan to get a woman with money

Where can I find these wealthy women?

Har! But of course they meant to say "it's actually very easy in Japan to get a woman if you have a lot of money.

If you're a young stud who doesn't have a lot of money, get a job at one of the host clubs, like Roppongi Host Club axe, and you'll be able to meet wealthy women who want to be pampered.

A lot of jealousy in these comments.

I mean, a girl wanting a guy because he built a super fortune for himself is wrong? But a girl wanting a guy because he's good looking (which he had nothing to do with, except inheriting good genes) is OK? Or because he has a shallow but witty repartee is OK?

What have the commenters done compared to this guy's achievements?

6 ( +10 / -4 )

20000 gold diggers.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

The real question is, how many of the 20,000 actually don’t care about him but want to primarily go around the MOON, thinking, “ahh afterwards if it doesn’t work out I’ll just leave him”. My guess is the majority of them...

3 ( +3 / -0 )

What’s next? Mars?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

What did he expect? Basically using his money to find a girlfriend, is not going to end well.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

It is not worth sitting on Top of one of Elon Musk's SpaceX Rockets for any amount of money, even Billions.

Rocket Motors are still too Unreliable and Dangerous. They can still sometimes Explode on Ignition!

To contradict Gordon Gekko: Greed is definitely Not Good! You don't need Billions to be happy.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Hah, 20,000 airheads, or should I say space heads?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

What entertainment it all is...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

A bellend.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I wonder what first attracted these applicants to the BILLIONAIRE Yusaku Maezawa???

2 ( +2 / -0 )

As far as I know, Elon Musk has not yet even sent a Spacecraft into Moon Orbit

and returned it safely back to Earth.

I am just very concerned about the safety of the people on-board, that's all.

Forget his Billions Girls! What good is the money to you if you are dead?

Find yourself a very good, kind, nice, honest and caring Gentleman instead.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Dear Miatanaka.

The whole plan is pathetic as i wrote it before. This man suffer from lack of confidence.

Money doesn't make people happy, it help your lifestyle. You japanese are some strange specimens... I mean c'mon... That other guy married with a doll? Another one married with a hologram? Selling use panties in public machine? huhu ... take a look at the mirror girl.

Neil Armstrong and my dad who was proj manager on Apollo missions rolling in their graves

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I'm sure he'll pick the one with the best personality. :)

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Where is the test ? That looks funny.

I tried to go to the application website. In english, you can apply with no filling but no test after and in japanese you have to fill stuff. As I do not match the criteria, I do not see the point in applying. I am just curious about the test. :D

“Ah can get women quite easily in Japan with money”,- you can Anywhere, mind you.

I do not think it only apply to women. Most likely if he opened it to men, they will a bunch rushing over even ones which have no interest in other men on daily basis.

Remember, it is not just money he is selling : fame and trip to the moon are also in the catch. So obviously there is lot of people which could be interested.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

The 20,000 want him for his money......

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Out of 20,000, there are probably 1000 who are scientists and would put up with taking it for $9M. Women put up with a bunch of male crap for all sorts of lesser reasons.

The other 19,000 seek fame or the money or both. Just look at the "Flavor of Love" TV show.

He's taking artists along too, right? Is this "girlfriend" position to be shared by everyone on-board? Transvestites allowed? My money is on a skinny blonde being selected.

6 days spent in close quarters with other people, all eating, farting, and crapping into bags, isn't nearly as much fun as a camping trip.

Yes, I think the reality of the situation will hit them quickly.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Maybe if he get a personality, maybe he can find a woman

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Any potential Partner / Wife is going to have to be prepared to go through the Rigorous Training required to be an Astronaut to endure the Launch and Re-entry.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

If Maezawa farted in front of you what would you say?

The question should be: What should he say?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

What's kind of funny about this whole situation in sad but also kind of sexist way is that Maezawa was advertising this as some momentous opportunity to become the "first woman to travel to the moon."

How great would it be for the history books to read about how the first female on the moon was a dating contest winner rather than an aspiring astronaut, as a way to inspire young girls to pursue the sciences. Frankly, I'm actually hoping that NASA will succeed before he does.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Most or all of these applicants do not know Maezawa personally. That may be fine for a casual date. But we’re talking about going to the Moon. If something goes wrong, they both need to implicitly trust one another. God forbid if they face a Titanic situation where one must sacrifice his/her life for the other to live. You don’t want to find out then that the relationship is not deep enough to agree on that decision.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

It's all about the money. Who knows what this character is really like.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The guy's a billionaire and he has trouble pick up women the regular way?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Lol! Why hate on these women? Do you hate a lioness that chooses the fitter stronger male lion over the weaker one? If one of these women have his kid they and their child will be set for generations.

Whether you like to believe it, humans are not separated from the rules of nature ie. survival of the fittest.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

if you're a billionaire and need to campaign for a date to space , setting all the women that KNOW you aside , you must have some seriously dark issues .

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Ladies, I can bring you to the stars, for free.

Just need to be smart, kind, feminine and open-minded.

Oups, wrong site !

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

20,000 that's a lot of host bar girls

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Money. Allowing unattractive guys to get laid, since... well, since forever. It is the human condition. Nothing new here.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Why can't he just use a Dating Agency here on Earth instead of endangering someone else's life?

If he wants to risk his own life then that is his choice.

How did he get his money anyway? Did he Inherit it? Has he ever done a day's work?
