More than Y6 mil found in garbage in Iwate

Police said Friday that more than 6 million yen was found in the garbage in Takizawamura, Iwate Prefecture.

According to police, the money was inside a paper bag and placed in a recycling container for clothes and newspaper at a garbage disposal area on May 8, NTV reported.

If the owner is found before Aug 8, the cash will be returned to him or her. If nobody claims it by Aug 8, the cash will go to the association that operates the garbage disposal area.

"6 million yen was found in the garbage"

Either pretty careless or pretty stupid people are involved here.
