Don't know about other regions, but for Kinki, JR West is already re-routing some trains and warning about service shutdowns for later today and tomorrow morning. You might just get your wish.

Good update.

Sanyo line running too.

Hyogo heavy snow due and -7ºC tonight. We never get snow here on the Sato Sea.

There is no Sato Sea in that location.

There is a Seto Sea.

But good to know nonetheless.

wind speed of 72 kph in the Kanto-Koshin area on Tuesday.

Was about to dash off with my motorcycle when I saw the forecast on my phone.

iPhone windy mark never fails. Commuting by car today.

For some, remote work does not seem so bad, ne!

Are you joking?! Remote work is terrible in inclement weather....it means you still have to work!! :D

I want the trains and buses off so I don't have to go to work! LLF

No snow at all in Tokyo's forecast this morning for at least the entire week. Today's high is 13, so quite warm and sunny.

Yup, figured this was going to happen, that’s why I’m headed to Thailand instead, see you in Okinawa in six months.

I want snow in my Tokyo !!!..

Except Osaka. Whenever it's cold enough to snow we see clear skies (but get the full-on cold winds). If there is going to be precipitation, it always warms up enough to rain.

With the cold winter perhaps it will cause a baby tsunami in the spring?

Ooo, that’s bad. Stay safe.

I take it you weren't in in the Tokyo region during the blizzard of 2013, then. I'd say there was 50cm on the ground at least in Saitama and 30cm down in Tokyo.

Think that was 2014. Valentine's Day if I'm not mistaken. That was a freak snowstorm that came from the south, broke records all across Kanto but barely touched Nagano.

Kumagaijin - and exactly two weeks later there was another. Was awesome.

Yeah I love snow too, but after a day or so I’ve had enough of the mess.

I do so adore snow.

Valentine's Day 2014, I wanna see that again. Now that was a dump of snow!

Cool; I love snow. :)

Kanto Koshin is kind of a big area. I’m not seeing that much snow in Tokyo’s forecast anywhere. Knock on wood.
